Recently, the district federation of trade unions, in collaboration with Tonghui Gas Co., Ltd., launched a Spring Festival visit-and-sympathy campaign aimed at supporting families in need, thereby putting social responsibility into practice and spreading positive energy. Wang Chaoyou, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the District People’s Congress, and Cai Yannan, Chairman of the Tonghui Gas Union, participated in the event. During this sympathy visit, the team traveled to Dafu Subdistrict, Chongkan Town, and Wugui Town, delivering daily necessities such as rice, cooking oil, and milk to 60 families facing difficulties. Throughout the visits, staff members warmly handed over the relief supplies to the families, engaged in detailed conversations with them, learned about their health conditions and any challenges they were experiencing in their daily lives, and encouraged them to overcome current hardships and look forward to a better future. Tonghui Gas has consistently been actively fulfilling its social responsibilities.

“Practicing Chinese Filial Piety Culture—Supporting the Health and Longevity of Seniors”: The “Happy Aging, Helping Seniors” Public Welfare Initiative—A Visit to Wangchang Town, Shizhu, to Care for Left-Behind Elderly in Rural Areas

On December 11, 2024, Tonghui Company, as a caring organization, was invited to participate in the “Promoting Chinese Filial Piety Culture—Supporting the Health and Longevity of Seniors” Senior Citizen Welfare Public Service Campaign—“Stepping into Wangchang Town, Shizhu County: Caring for Left-Behind Elderly in Rural Areas,” hosted by the Chongqing Municipal Foundation for the Development of Senior Citizens’ Affairs. The company delivered warm gift packages—including quilts, blankets, rice, and cooking oil—to 100 elderly, solitary, and financially disadvantaged left-behind seniors, as well as particularly impoverished seniors. Leaders from the Shizhu County Civil Affairs Bureau, leaders from the Wangchang Town Party Committee and Town Government, relevant officials from the Municipal Foundation for the Development of Senior Citizens’ Affairs, Liu Hui, General Manager of Kaiyite Gas—a subsidiary of Tonghui Company, and members of the Tonghui Gas Union attended the event as representatives of goodwill.

Recently, as the Double Ninth Festival approaches, the Tongnan District Federation of Trade Unions in Chongqing, together with the caring enterprise Tonghui Gas Co., Ltd., jointly organized a heartwarming Double Ninth Festival care event. Wang Chaoyou, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress and Chairman of the District Federation of Trade Unions, attended the event. During the event, the Tongnan District Federation of Trade Unions and Chongqing Tonghui Gas Co., Ltd. meticulously prepared a variety of care supplies for the elderly, collectively delivering 60 sets of rice and oil, 120 sets of noodles, 110 sets of cookies and milk, as well as flower-shaped pastries to three elderly care institutions. These supplies not only met the elderly’s basic daily needs but also allowed them to feel the warmth and care from society.

On August 26, Chongqing Tonghui Gas Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Tonghui Gas) held a scholarship awarding ceremony titled “Golden Autumn: Joining Hands to Help Students Achieve Their Dreams.” At the ceremony, 11 prospective college and graduate students each received a scholarship of 8,000 yuan. A representative from the district’s trade union extended their congratulations to the students on their successful admission to university and expressed appreciation and gratitude for Tonghui Gas’s compassionate scholarship initiative. The representative also encouraged the scholarship recipients to cherish their time on campus and their youthful years, studying diligently and striving forward with enthusiasm. “We are deeply grateful for Tonghui Gas’s support. Love Spreads on Double Ninth Festival, Warmth Touches the Nursing Home

On October 23, 2023, the district federation of trade unions led the caring enterprise Chongqing Tonghui Gas Co., Ltd. in carrying out a Qingming Festival condolence event, bringing warmth and care to elderly residents and extending to them festive greetings and best wishes. Wang Chaoyou, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress and Chairman of the District Federation of Trade Unions, along with relevant officials from the District Federation of Trade Unions and Tonghui Gas, attended the event. During the activity, the condolence team visited nursing homes in Tangba Town, Xiaodu Town, and Shouqiao Town one after another, engaging in warm conversations with the elderly and gaining a detailed understanding of their health conditions, daily routines, and dietary habits. They also presented the elderly with supplies worth over 20,000 yuan, including rice, flour, cooking oil, milk, and biscuits.

On the morning of January 3, 2023, the Tonghui Trade Union, in collaboration with the District Federation of Trade Unions, visited Chongkan Hongxing Primary School to offer condolences to 34 left-behind children. They also visited and comforted 16 families in need from Huayan Town, presenting them with a total of 30,000 yuan in cash and relief supplies.
